Changed Thoughts = Changed Results

We’ve all heard it before, right – insanity, doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different outcome.  The same old thinking yields the same old results.  Well, have you ever found yourself in a season of thinking this just might apply to you…you know, you’re actually the hamster running in the wheel?
I’m guessing many of us can relate to that at least once in our life.
Often our thinking is on auto-pilot, it gets stuck or complacent or even masked by our own personal limiting beliefs.  Through life’s ups, downs and unexpected jug handles we subconsciously adopt beliefs, some serve us incredibly well, while others tend to hold us back.
I know in my own life, I’ve been reminded a few times that in order to change my results, I’ve needed to change my thinking.

In those times, whether I’ve come to realize it on my own, or through the encouragement of a friend, family member, mentor or coach, as soon as I brought a new way of thinking to it, I was able to create something different in my results.  I know, that sounds so easy.  The truth is it really can be that easy.  New way of thinking = new results.

Is there an area of your life that you feel like the hamster, running and running, doing and doing, and yet still sitting in the same place with the only change being your level of frustration?  If you applied a new way of thinking and strategizing to that area of your life, what results might you begin creating today?

Here’s to you creating a life YOU thoroughly enjoy!

Thoughts are powerful so we’ve got to pay attention to them. I have to watch out for comments friends say to me and not let them get me down and distracted.

That’s the truth Dana, a new way of thinking = new results!

Just coming out of one of those hamster wheel seasons. (Love how you used the word season).
Hopefully the new season will stick around for awhile!

You are absolutely right Liz. Using a filter with others, and sometimes ourselves, is helpful in allowing us to keep moving forward in creating what our heart desires!

Thanks Rebecca – great minds think alike!

Thank you Lynn – thinking of a hamster running in the wheel immediately puts a smile on my face and helps me shift without thinking. And yes, life is filled with seasons, isn’t it!?
