Do you Struggle with Perfection?

“Don’t wait for the perfect moment. Take the moment and make it perfect.”

So fascinating how the universe works.

A while ago I was discussing with a client about an email she’ll be sending out later this week to her audience.

I caught myself sharing this advice,

"I encourage you to pause right now and get yourself grounded in your heart. When you are being YOU, you connect brilliantly and most authentically with your audience. This isn't about having a completely perfect email marketing technique assuming there is one. (psst. I’ll let you in on a little secret...There isn’t.) This is about conveying a message of love, compassion, inspiration and value."

It left me wondering, how often do we get so caught up in our heads and our need to have things “perfect”?

Maybe you’ve convinced yourself you’re not a perfectionist, you just don’t want to do it wrong. I’m not suggesting there is not thought behind your actions however, I also know – all to well – how you can paralyze yourself in fear of doing it wrong. Thinking you need to know every step before you can take the 1st step.

What I’ve learned is you will NEVER move your life, your business, your relationships, your health, or your finances forward, without taking action. So get grounded in your heart and trust that first step. And then keep trusting the next step.

After our conversation ended, I sat there and chuckled to myself realizing the next day I’d be interviewed on a podcast that is all about life beyond the corporate veil and we would be diving into how authenticity, vulnerability and purpose are the pathway to fulfillment.

The irony is that when I was first approached for this interview I questioned myself on whether or not I was ready for it (after almost 3+ years of not really doing any interviews or speaking).

I guess I took my own advice, I took that 1st step again and said YES.

Are you ready to say YES? If so let’s chat! Book your complimentary call with me today and see how I can help move the needle further in your business.
